Jack Walker
St George’s School, Edinburgh
Jack is a Teacher of Computer Science and IT lead at Verbier
International School. Former Lead Teacher of Computer Science at St
George’s School, Edinburgh where he was driving computing
education across primary and senior groups with a focus on
engagement and real-world application. Jack created and lead the
Fearless Women in Computing event, connecting hundreds of
students with industry to improve female participation in tech.
Joe McGonagle
JP MorganChase
Joe is an Executive Director within Corporate Technology at
JPMorganChase, and the Scotland Lead for Men as Allies, a subgroup
of JPMorganChase’s Women on the Move business resource group. In
this role, he uses his leadership voice, technical credibility and
regional influence to turn allyship into visible, practical action for
women in technology.
Derek Shanks
Lloyds Banking Group
Derek Shanks is a Technology Executive with 23 years’ experience in the
Telecoms, Broadcast Media and Financial Services sector. His Financial
Services experience spans retail banking, wealth management, digital
investing, insurance and workplace pensions. At Lloyds Banking Group, he
is the Technology Director for Scottish Widows digital channels, which
includes the Scottish Widows App, website, live webchat and AI chat
experiences. Derek is passionate about using technology to help people
secure their financial future, doing so with resilient, scalable, secure mobile
apps, and with the responsible use of AI. He is also passionate about
fostering a pipeline of diverse next generation tech talent, which is why he
sponsors many DEI and talent initiatives both internally and externally,
including Lloyds Banking Group’s sponsorship of the Ada Scotland Festival
for gender diversity in Tech.
